Play Dates, Park, & Date Night

This is kind of a catch up post on the happenings of late.

I finally got to meet Kelly's good friend Erin this last month! I had heard so much about her from Kelly and had texted her a bunch while I was pregnant I was so excited to finally meet her!  We all met up and went and got lunch at Chik Fil A.  Erin has a little girl named Olivia who was seriously just a doll.  So dang cute.  It was so fun to just have a lunch out with the gals plus who doesn't love Chik Fil A.  Freaking yum.  Plus the baby girls did really good which is always a plus.
Oh and me and Kelly did not coordinate the stripey shirts but gosh don't we look cute?!?

I seriously cannot wait for it to be summer.  This bipolar weather has been driving me crazy.  A couple weeks ago we had sunshine and it was so nice to spend time outside! Sugar House Park is super close to our apartment which is freaking awesome because I LOVE taking Chloe there to go on walks and just hang out in the park.  I found a pretty awesome spot by the creek under some big trees that I have officially claimed as "our spot".  Chloe seemed to certainly love it.  Picture overload below, what can I say? She is freaking adorable.

Chloe seriously loves her Dada so much and we love when he gets a break from school and work to be able to go to the park with us.

I also got the chance to go down to Lehi and hang out with Michelle and Mika! We had such a chill fun day just hanging out watching Netflix, making food, and working on my never ending rug.  It was so much fun catching up and hanging out.  I am so sad that she will be gone once again for the summer but glad I got to hang with her before she headed out.

Scott and I went out on a date.  He finished his first semester at the U and I surprised him with a planned out date night with a babysitter for Chloe and everything.  Thank you again Kelly for watching Chloe you are the bestest ever!!!

The date started out with us getting dinner at Ichiban.  We are so obsessed with their sushi.  We get it at LEAST once a month.  We decided to try a couple new rolls and I think they are our new favorites. Of course our favorite favorite is always The Fantasy Roll and our new favorites are The Caterpillar Roll and The Spicy Roll.  And we ALWAYS get Crab Ragoons because what is Sushi without the crab ragoons? It is probably my favorite part of the dinner. Its spicy and hot but so good.

After dinner we went over to Baskin Robins and got some ice cream.  I got Half Mint Chocolate Chip and Half Cookie Dough.  Scott got half Cookies N Cream and half Cookie Dough. Gosh I love ice cream.  The weather was so nice so we were able to eat our ice cream outside.  YUM

After ice cream we headed over to the movie theatre. Scott already guessed what we were doing, that little stinker, I don't know how he did! I thought I was doing such a good job at keeping it a secret... oh well he was excited nonetheless.  So we got to the movie theatre to see the new Avengers movie.  I have to say it was pretty good. I liked the first Avengers movie more but this one was still really good and it was so fun to actually see a movie in a theatre instead of at home with a Redbox rental.

The movie was pretty late at night so we didn't get home until almost midnight but it was so much fun to go out with my hubby.  He works so hard for our family and I appreciate it so much.  He works at Microsoft 25-30 hrs a week and goes to school full time. He balances the work load so well and always finds time to hang out with me and Chloe too.  I love him so much and feel so lucky to have him as my husband.

Last but not least I was able to hang
out with a couple of mommy's that Michelle introduced me to.  We all met up at the Tracy Aviary.  It was a rainy day so that made the outing a memorable one.  We were hoping we could wait out the storm in the gift shop and hopefully it would pass.  Sadly this was not the case.  We braved the rain and walked around getting soaked.

Thankfully Chloe was tucked away in the stroller so she didn't get wet and I had her bundled in blankets but the other kiddos were pretty soaked by the end. Kids are troopers that is for sure.

Other than the rain being a bummer the place was actually pretty cool! We got to see all kinds of different birds like hawks, vultures, flamingos, owls, peacocks etc. I definitely want to go there again in the summer when it's not raining because they do all kinds of shows when the weather is nice.

All in all it
was a lot of fun though
and one of the other kiddos was only a month older than Chloe! They just stared at each other it was adorable.

Pretty much love at first sight =) It was so fun to get out of the house and hang with other mommies.  I am excited for more play dates in the future!
